Position Overview: Business Solutions Leader in Hi-Tech Practice
As a Business Solutions Leader, you will play a pivotal role in Cognizant’s fastest-growing practice—delivering innovative, customized solutions to high-growth technology companies. Collaborating with market leaders and cross-functional teams, you will lead proactive and reactive business pursuits, including complex RFPs, solution architecture, pricing strategy, and client presentations.
You will work directly with top-tier technology clients, including digital-native companies in internet, software, and electronics, helping them solve business-critical challenges through Cognizant’s advanced capabilities in BPO, digital services, automation, and AI/ML.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Solutions Development: Design and develop forward-thinking business solutions aligned with client needs and market trends, particularly in the Hi-Tech domain.

Sales Enablement & RFP Leadership: Lead solutioning for proactive and reactive sales pursuits, including RFP responses, pricing strategies, solution narratives, and stakeholder alignment.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, delivery, finance, and technology leaders to deliver integrated, high-impact proposals that meet client expectations and business outcomes.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key interface with senior client stakeholders, building trust through transparent communication, consultative engagements, and outcome-driven narratives.

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide diverse solutioning and proposal teams across geographies, ensuring alignment, productivity, and innovation in every pursuit.

Financial Modeling: Develop pricing models, cost estimates, and P&L strategies to support competitive and profitable proposals.

Operational Intelligence: Bring expertise in SLA definition, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational analytics to drive impactful solutions.

Innovation through Technology: Leverage next-generation technologies such as AI/ML and Generative AI to embed digital innovation into solutions and create competitive differentiation.

Required Experience & Educational Background
To thrive in this leadership role, Cognizant requires candidates with a rich blend of industry expertise, leadership experience, and strategic capabilities:

Minimum 15+ years of experience in the BPO industry, particularly in sales, business development, or solutioning roles.

At least 3+ years of experience leading end-to-end solutions for medium to large-scale RFPs within the Hi-Tech or Digital sector.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing BPO operations is highly preferred, showcasing end-to-end understanding of delivery and execution.

Experience with digital-native technology clients in the software, internet, and electronics verticals is a strong advantage.

Demonstrated experience in P&L management, pricing strategy, or financial modeling in support of sales and business growth.

Understanding of operational KPIs, SLA management, and business analytics.

Familiarity with modern technologies including AI/ML and Generative AI for intelligent automation and digital transformation.

Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an MBA is strongly preferred for candidates aiming to lead cross-functional, high-value client engagements.

Experience in contract negotiations and vendor relationship management will be considered a significant asset.
