About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Manager – Projects (Lead Product Consultant) to become a key contributor within our Cognizant team. The selected candidate should bring in-depth experience across pre-sales strategy, enterprise product consulting, end-to-end solution design, and hands-on leadership in project execution and delivery. This position demands a well-rounded professional with technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in enterprise product solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solutioning

  • Collaborate in the pre-sales process by preparing marketing materials, participating in client discussions, conducting demos, and responding to RFIs/RFPs.
  • Create tailored solutions based on client needs and contribute to technical feasibility assessments.
  • Explore account mining opportunities to unlock further value and present proposals in coordination with account teams.

Product Consulting & Architecture

  • Engage with client technical teams to understand system landscapes and ecosystems.
  • Analyze business challenges and IT requirements by interfacing with customer SMEs and reviewing system documentation.
  • Offer architectural and platform recommendations, conduct gap analysis, and define customization strategies for product implementation.
  • Lead the creation and presentation of solution architecture, including proof of concepts.
  • Offer strategic recommendations to enhance the scalability, fault tolerance, and overall technical integrity of the proposed architecture.

Design & Implementation

  • Guide the team on product-centric solutions and provide architectural direction.
  • Participate in design and architecture review sessions to ensure solution alignment.
  • Manage delivery execution, ensuring deliverables are aligned with quality standards and delivery checkpoints.
  • Conduct client demos and ensure minimal escalation during the delivery lifecycle.

Innovation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Identify and encourage adoption of best practices including design tools, technical frameworks, and solution accelerators.
  • Centralize reusable solution enablers developed across multiple projects for institutional use.

Capability Building & Knowledge Management

  • Develop detailed case studies and documentation of projects to contribute to organizational learning.
  • Ensure all project artifacts and deliverables are stored in relevant knowledge repositories post-deployment.

Project Management & Delivery Oversight

  • Engage with clients to gather expectations, align delivery milestones, and resolve project-related issues.
  • Prepare and review estimation guidelines, project plans, and impact analysis.
  • Identify project tracks, assign responsibilities to Senior Product Specialists, and ensure clarity in roles.
  • Lead daily interactions with stakeholders, track project progress, and coordinate status reporting.
  • Facilitate seamless offshore-onshore collaboration and maintain knowledge transition efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance (SQAG) team to uphold project compliance and documentation standards.
  • Evaluate change requests, negotiate timelines and costs, and manage scope effectively.
  • Oversee effort tracking, resource allocation, and billing-related processes.

People Management & Team Leadership

  • Evaluate team capabilities using SWOT analysis to optimize task assignments.
  • Mentor team members, support training initiatives, and build career growth paths.
  • Promote a cohesive work culture by addressing conflicts, boosting morale, and facilitating team-building.
  • Support performance appraisals, goal setting, and identify skill gaps.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, continuous learning sessions, and professional development programs through the Cognizant Academy.
  • Recommend high-performing individuals for recognition and internal awards.

Technical Skills – Must Have

  • Mendix – Practical expertise in developing, customizing, and deploying applications using the Mendix low-code development platform.

Technical Skills – Good to Have

  • PLM Functional Areas: PLM Manual Testing, PLM Automated Testing, PLM Functional Knowledge, and PLM Data Migration
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
  • Teamcenter
  • Migration Tools – Tools and utilities for data and application migration in enterprise environments.
