As a Techno Functional Consultant – L1, your core role will be to bridge the gap between functional business requirements and technical ERP implementation. You’ll support the delivery of cutting-edge solutions by understanding business needs, offering process optimization, coding robust solutions, and maintaining ERP systems with a focus on automation and efficiency. This role offers a dynamic blend of consulting, solution development, and client support responsibilities.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to enable seamless collaboration between business and technical teams to deliver robust, scalable ERP solutions. You will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining ERP systems based on client requirements, while also leading automation initiatives using Selenium and related tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery & Solution Development

• Act as the conduit between project and support teams through your techno-functional expertise.

• Lead end-to-end implementation of new business processes—from gathering requirements to integration, configuration, and production deployment.

• Assess feasibility of new change requests and recommend optimal solutions with realistic timelines.

• Build systems from scratch and provide full techno-functional support for new ERP deployments.

• Engage with solutioning teams to ensure alignment across architecture, coding, testing, and deployment stages.

2. Technical Development & Customization

• Understand and implement both functional and technical architecture on ERP platforms.

• Extend, localize, or modify existing ERP modules through structured coding, testing, and deployment.

• Customize ERP solutions based on client needs while adhering to development standards and quality benchmarks.

• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for implementation within the ERP environment.

3. Selenium-Based Automation

• Develop and deploy automated testing frameworks and process automation tools using Selenium.

• Optimize manual workflows by reducing steps and increasing system efficiency.

• Minimize recurring client issues through predictive automation and intelligent testing.

• Maintain detailed documentation for all automated solutions, ensuring reusability and scalability.

4. Support & Maintenance

• Provide prompt support for day-to-day queries and technical challenges encountered by the client.

• Ensure uninterrupted ERP functionality through bug fixes, patches, and technical maintenance.

• Maintain system stability, data integrity, and performance metrics by proactively monitoring the environment.

• Work closely with clients and on-site managers to coordinate updates, changes, and issue resolution.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align functional expectations with technical delivery.

• Offer insights and advisory support to clients regarding possible enhancements, roadmaps, and product lifecycle extensions.

• Keep clients informed of any system changes, updates, and triage activities being conducted.

• Provide feedback to on-site and off-site managers regarding implementation challenges and performance improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Technical Skill:

• Selenium

  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.

  • Ability to write and execute test scripts for UI and backend automation.

  • Understanding of automation best practices for ERP environments.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD integration with automation pipelines is an added advantage.

Other Technical Competencies:

• Good grasp of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Proficiency in coding languages (Java, Python, etc.) for backend integration.

• Familiarity with integration tools, system APIs, and configuration workflows.
