Role Summary

As a Learning Architect within Infosys Consulting, your primary responsibility will be to understand training needs, design instructional strategies, and lead the creation of engaging and effective learning content using state-of-the-art digital tools. This role requires expertise in instructional design, adult learning theories, and a working knowledge of machine learning-supported adaptive learning systems.


Key Responsibilities

1. Instructional Design Leadership

  • Create and lead the design of instructional strategies tailored to different learner personas, business needs, and performance goals.
  • Apply adult learning principles and Bloom’s taxonomy to develop interactive, engaging, and outcomes-driven learning paths.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, and instructional designers to structure content effectively.

2. Learning Experience Development

  • Build end-to-end learning experiences that include e-learning, simulations, assessments, and job aids.
  • Apply storytelling techniques, scenario-based learning, gamification, and microlearning for optimal knowledge retention.
  • Review and refine course content, ensuring alignment with Infosys brand guidelines and global quality standards.

3. Technology and Tools Expertise

  • Design and deploy learning assets using leading authoring tools such as:
    • Articulate Storyline
    • Adobe Captivate
    • SAP Enable Now
    • WalkMe
    • Whatfix
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) for effective distribution and tracking.
  • Implement SCORM, xAPI, and other learning standards for analytics and interoperability.

4. Needs Analysis and Learning Architecture Planning

  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments (TNA) and gap analysis.
  • Define learning architecture across multiple modalities: online, blended, virtual ILT, and mobile learning.
  • Provide recommendations on learning strategies and content development timelines based on complexity, learner profiles, and business impact.

5. Quality Assurance and Evaluation

  • Perform usability testing and QA for all e-learning modules.
  • Gather learner feedback through surveys, interviews, and analytics.
  • Use Kirkpatrick’s Four-Level Evaluation Model to assess learning impact and make iterative improvements.

1. Learning Data & Analytics

  • Use data to personalize learning experiences and inform content curation.
  • Leverage machine learning or supervised learning techniques to create adaptive learning pathways and dynamic assessment structures.

2. Project Management Support

  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Track project milestones, resource requirements, and stakeholder feedback.

3. Learning Culture Enablement

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by evangelizing modern learning methodologies.
  • Act as a consultant for internal teams to develop robust learning strategies aligned with digital transformation goals.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Literature, Mathematics, Education, Instructional Design, or any relevant discipline

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Instructional Design Methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning)
  • Knowledge of interactivity models (drag-and-drop, branching, simulations)
  • Experience with tools like:
    • Articulate Storyline
    • Adobe Captivate
    • SAP Enable Now
    • WalkMe / Whatfix
  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning, particularly supervised learning models in adaptive content delivery
  • Experience in working with corporate training, compliance, product knowledge, or technical upskilling modules
  • Knowledge of emerging learning technologies like VR, AR, and AI-based coaching is a plus
