Introduction

As part of the Infosys consulting team, you will work closely with clients to understand business challenges, configure and implement tailored SF EC solutions, and lead end-to-end implementation cycles. Role Summary

As a Functional Lead – SF EC, your core responsibilities include solution design, system configuration, process optimization, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery oversight of Employee Central implementations. You will also support pre-sales initiatives, provide technical estimates, and lead workshops, all while ensuring alignment with SAP HCM best practices.


Key Responsibilities

1. Client Consulting & Problem Solving

  • Analyze client HR requirements and translate them into robust SAP SF EC solutions.
  • Identify process gaps, perform fit-gap analysis, and recommend appropriate configurations.
  • Facilitate workshops, conference room pilots (CRP), and proof of concept (POC) sessions to ensure stakeholder alignment.

2. Solution Design & Configuration

  • Lead solution design and configuration of SuccessFactors Employee Central based on business blueprints.
  • Handle system configuration in accordance with the Configuration Workbook and SAP best practices.
  • Manage translation packs and ensure multilingual configurations for global implementations.
  • Work on Metadata Framework (MDF), foundation objects, associations, business rules, and workflow setups.

3. End-to-End Implementation Delivery

  • Own and lead at least two full lifecycle SuccessFactors EC implementations.
  • Plan and manage configuration activities and post-implementation support.
  • Define test strategies and oversee test case development, execution, and issue resolution.

4. Pre-sales & Proposal Support

  • Contribute to solution proposals, prepare technical estimates, and support business case development.
  • Provide expert inputs on SuccessFactors architecture and system capabilities to align with client budgets.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with technical consultants, developers, project managers, and QA teams.
  • Assist integration teams with SAP HCM, third-party systems, and SAP custom reports.
  • Lead small project teams or workstreams to deliver results on time and within scope.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct solution demonstrations and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Mentor junior consultants and support learning programs.
  • Assist in creating reusable assets, documentation, and configuration templates.
  • Engage in organizational initiatives, contribute to process improvement, and participate in quality reviews.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Experience and Certifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors
  • Certification in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, with up-to-date delta certification
  • Experience in at least two end-to-end SF EC implementations

Functional Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of the Employee Lifecycle Management processes in global enterprises
  • Deep expertise in Role-Based Permissions (RBP) and Data Models (succession, country-specific, CSF, EC)
  • Proficiency in XML configuration and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with integration touchpoints between SuccessFactors and SAP HCM/ERP

Technical Configuration Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with MDF, associations, business rules, and workflow creation
  • Ability to configure foundation objects and maintain consistency across global templates
  • Good understanding of translations, language packs, and localization requirements

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Preparation and execution of test cases and test scripts
  • Issue resolution, documentation, and functional sign-off responsibilities
