Role Overview

Wipro is seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft HCM Technical Developer on a contract basis to support enterprise-level software development, maintenance, and enhancement. The primary responsibility of this role is to build, test, and maintain software programs tailored to client-specific PeopleSoft HCM requirements. The successful candidate will ensure complete alignment with quality assurance protocols and performance benchmarks while working closely with stakeholders and project teams.

This role demands on-site presence in Delhi, making it ideal for candidates who prefer a collaborative, in-person working environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design and Development

  • Interpret technical requirements and product designs for PeopleSoft HCM applications.
  • Develop robust software solutions by analyzing system flow, data structures, and user needs.
  • Perform root cause analysis for software issues and follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Identify system performance improvement areas and recommend innovative enhancements.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts to refine requirements and convert them into actionable designs.
  • Assist in integration processes and play an active role in creating comprehensive system documentation.

2. Coding and Testing

  • Develop clean, efficient code aligned with performance standards and project norms.
  • Ensure operational feasibility by validating software against business needs.
  • Create and execute test cases, usage scenarios, and validation processes.
  • Fix bugs, enhance compatibility with new hardware, and improve performance and interface elements.
  • Review system recommendations and plan for new installations or upgrades.
  • Maintain high coding standards to prevent test failures and ensure error-free deployment.
  • Deliver detailed project reports, status updates, and technical documentation.

3. Reporting and Client Interaction

  • Document client requirements and expectations to maintain high-quality output.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to gather feedback and ensure timely delivery.
  • Respond to client queries with professionalism and ensure no escalations arise due to communication gaps.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with emerging programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define software-hardware interface specifications.
  • Represent solutions with diagrams, flowcharts, and clearly annotated code for transparency.
