Position Overview
Wipro is currently seeking an experienced and driven Domain Consultant (Contract) to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This position involves strategic business consulting, gap analysis, functional design, and implementation support. As a senior consultant, you will work closely with clients to define business processes, develop actionable insights, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with their goals. The role goes beyond standard consulting responsibilities by actively contributing to thought leadership and reusable solution development within the practice.
This position is ideal for professionals who are capable of handling complex client engagements with minimal oversight, possess strong business acumen, and have a passion for solving high-impact problems.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing engagement delivery with minimal support (10–20%) from internal consulting or client partner teams.
- Develop and validate client business strategies, including assessing industry trends, market positioning, and growth opportunities.
- Establish deep client relationships by providing advisory services and thought leadership tailored to strategic goals.
Business Process & Functional Consulting
- Perform in-depth analysis of business processes to uncover inefficiencies, highlight improvement opportunities, and close operational gaps.
- Capture detailed business requirements and convert them into robust, scalable functional solutions that ensure long-term sustainability.
- Utilize industry best practices and frameworks to guide solution design and delivery.
- Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility and implementation of proposed solutions.
Solution Development & Implementation
- Design customized services and solutions aligned with the client’s strategic vision.
- Estimate the scope of work, resource needs, and delivery timelines for end-to-end solution implementation.
- Identify risks, manage deliverables, and ensure alignment with client expectations and business goals.
Presales & Proposal Development
- Drive proposal creation for new business opportunities, including drafting solution overviews, timelines, and resource estimates.
- Participate in presales engagements for new and existing client accounts.
- Seek opportunities to expand Wipro’s footprint by identifying adjacent or new areas for business development.
Knowledge Sharing & Practice Development
- Guide and mentor junior team members by sharing domain knowledge and providing direction during client engagements.
- Contribute to the development of internal consulting frameworks, templates, and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to build go-to-market assets, accelerators, and off-the-shelf solutions that can be leveraged across multiple engagements.
- Create reusable intellectual property (IP) by documenting methodologies, solutions, and lessons learned from managed projects.
