Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Package Consultant – SAP EIM, you will act as a client-facing expert, delivering robust SAP solutions and consulting services that address business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, optimize, and maintain data integration and data governance frameworks, ensuring high data quality and seamless migration across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic SAP Solution Design:
- Develop and implement effective SAP solutions using tools such as SAP BODS, BOIS, SDI, and SDQ.
- Work across SAP technical design, development, and configuration to deliver maintainable, scalable solutions.
- Data Migration:
- Lead data migration initiatives from legacy systems to SAP or non-SAP environments.
- Handle SAP ECC to S/4HANA data migration using SAP Migration Cockpit or alternative methods.
- Profiling and Governance:
- Utilize BO Information Steward (BOIS) for data profiling and governance.
- Implement processes to monitor and maintain data integrity.
- ETL and Flow Design:
- Create mapping sheets combining functional and technical expertise.
- Develop ETL workflows and data flows using SAP BODS components based on business requirements.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and developers to align solutions with business objectives.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Propose and implement best practices for reusable components.
- Evaluate emerging SAP EIM technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related specialization.
Experience:
- 5 to 12 years of overall experience in SAP EIM and related tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of SAP functional experience, with specialization in SAP BODS/HANA SDI.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in:
- SAP BODS/BOIS/SDI/SDQ
- Data migration from ECC to S/4HANA
- SAP Migration Cockpit
- BO Information Steward (data profiling/governance)
- HANA SDI for ETL development and flow graph creation
- Ability to:
- Design ETL logic with performance optimization
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Prepare detailed mapping and transformation logic
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in BODS Administration
- Working knowledge of SAP Data Hub
- Strong understanding of data quality management
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps in SAP projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
