Role Purpose

As a Developer – L4, your primary responsibility is to design, test, and maintain software applications for deployment at client locations. Your work will directly impact the quality, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong foundation in the software development lifecycle, and a proactive mindset for innovation and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

1. Software Requirement Analysis & Design

  • Understand, analyze, and translate customer requirements into technical designs.
  • Evaluate existing systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with systems analysts and functional teams to gather detailed software requirements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for existing system issues and offer practical design improvements.

2. Development and Testing

  • Develop and maintain software solutions based on detailed specifications and design documents.
  • Develop high-quality, optimized, and maintainable code while adhering to industry standards and coding best practices.
  • Execute comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance tests (UAT) to ensure software reliability and functionality.
  • Set up automated testing frameworks and develop usage/test scenarios.
  • Modify existing software to fix bugs, enhance performance, and support new hardware or platforms.
  • Monitor and improve software efficiency, reliability, and performance.

3. Process Optimization & Documentation

  • Propose and execute enhancements aimed at improving system efficiency, responsiveness, and overall uptime.
  • Document all development activities including code comments, workflows, diagrams, and reports.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting on programming status, progress, and challenges.
  • Maintain adherence to coding norms and raise change requests per defined guidelines.

4. Project & Team Coordination

  • Work closely with project managers to align software capabilities with business objectives.
  • Regularly update project stakeholders on progress, issues, and timelines.
  • Deliver practical recommendations and user-centric improvements to enhance application usability and long-term maintainability.
  • Coordinate with peers to ensure smooth workflow and knowledge sharing across teams.

5. Client Communication & Quality Assurance

  • Establish clear and consistent communication with clients to solicit feedback and ensure a thorough understanding of their requirements.
  • Ensure professional interactions via emails, meetings, and support channels.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and resolve issues with a customer-centric approach.
  • Track and respond to client queries in a timely and effective manner.

  • Experience in debugging, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, API integrations, and modern software engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proven capability to excel in dynamic, high-paced environments while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
