Position Summary

As a Cloud Architect – C1, you will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and robust cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. This role demands strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and hands-on experience with a broad array of cloud technologies. You’ll lead by example, set architectural standards, and ensure project delivery aligns with strategic objectives and modern software engineering principles.

This position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in Azure services, .NET technologies, DevSecOps, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 1. Cloud Architecture and Platform Engineering

• Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based cloud architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

• Design solutions using Azure services including Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Azure Batch.

• Define best practices for microservices, API integrations, and event-driven architectures.

• Drive adoption of architectural principles like SOLID, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure services and technologies to ensure future-readiness of platforms.

🔹 2. Application Development Leadership

• Lead development in .NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework, leveraging modern frameworks like Blazor, React, or Angular (Blazor preferred).

• Architect and design RESTful APIs and secure data access layers.

• Promote code quality via rigorous standards for testability, maintainability, and performance.

• Implement best practices in LINQ, data modeling, and component reuse for efficient codebases.

🔹 3. DevSecOps & CI/CD Implementation

• Integrate DevSecOps pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Copilot to automate code integration, testing, and deployments.

• Monitor and improve CI/CD workflows for faster delivery and reduced manual intervention.

• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues in pipelines and deployments.

• Ensure secure coding practices are embedded across the SDLC.

🔹 4. Cloud Security, Governance, and Compliance

• Implement and enforce security controls and governance mechanisms across cloud environments.

• Develop architectural guidelines ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, regulatory norms, and data privacy mandates.

• Collaborate with InfoSec and IT governance teams to align on risk mitigation strategies.

🔹 5. Agile Delivery and Team Collaboration

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to KDD (Knowledge-Driven Development) and Design Documentations.

• Break down designs into user stories and collaborate with the Scrum team to ensure proper implementation.

• Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning from a technical standpoint.

• Foster a DevOps culture within teams through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications & Skills

✅ Experience & Technical Proficiency

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT, with strong cloud architecture expertise.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in:

  • Azure Functions, CosmosDB, Event Hubs, Event Grid

  • Azure App Services, Azure Batch, Application Insights

  • .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, REST APIs

  • DevSecOps and GitHub integration pipelines

• Strong command of relational and NoSQL databases: Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and Oracle.

• Excellent understanding of design patterns, microservices, cloud-native app principles, and API security.

✅ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF).

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools like Bicep.

• Exposure to GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows.

• Prior experience resolving CI/CD pipeline issues in a fast-paced Agile environment.
