Role Purpose

The primary goal of the Cyber Security Analyst – L4 is to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture by identifying, analyzing, and resolving security incidents while providing strategic recommendations for continual improvement. The role demands a proactive approach to threat detection, response, and risk mitigation across various IT landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Monitoring and Analysis

• Conduct continuous surveillance and analysis of log sources and security access points.
• Monitor for signs of unauthorized access, anomalies, or potential intrusions using advanced analytics.
• Analyze security breaches and perform forensic investigations to trace root causes.
• Respond to escalated incidents from Level 1 security teams in a 24×7 rotational shift.

Incident Handling and Risk Mitigation

• Execute real-time response strategies during security incidents or breaches.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments, root cause analysis, and develop remediation plans.
• Maintain and update an information security risk register.
• Support audit processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders on security protocols.

Disaster Recovery and Prevention

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation activities.
• Provide guidance for proactive threat prevention and system recovery methodologies.

Reporting and Dashboard Creation

• Generate comprehensive incident analysis reports.
• Create and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring and executive reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement and Training

• Assist in developing and delivering internal cybersecurity awareness training programs.

Process Adherence and Performance Monitoring

• Ensure adherence to predefined SLAs with a focus on response time and turnaround time (TAT).
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by offering timely and effective security solutions.

Mandatory Skill Set

• Palo Alto Networks – Firewalls: Strong hands-on experience is required in configuring, managing, and monitoring Palo Alto firewall systems, ensuring secure network communication and threat mitigation.
