Role Overview

The Senior Financial Operations Analyst (FinOps Analyst) will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining high-quality master data for customers and vendors within the Oracle Financial Applications (OFA) system. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial operations, especially accounts receivables. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating, verifying, and updating customer and vendor records, ensuring the data is clean, accurate, and up to date. They will also handle escalations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to system testing and process optimization.


Key Responsibilities

Customer and Vendor Data Management

  • Manage and maintain accurate customer and vendor master data in the OFA system, ensuring all updates align with company policies and compliance guidelines.

  • Conduct thorough validation and verification of customer data during account setup, modification, and updates to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Perform regular data hygiene initiatives, including cleanup of outdated, duplicate, or incomplete records.

Escalation Handling and Resolution

  • Address complex data discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues to relevant stakeholders.

  • Resolve escalated customer data issues effectively with a strong problem-solving approach.

  • Record and maintain detailed solutions of escalated issues to build a comprehensive knowledge repository for future use.

Process Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor daily operational activities and ensure efficient workload distribution across the team.

  • Generate and present Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Develop and maintain productivity reports and performance dashboards to enhance visibility and support continuous improvement efforts.

Testing and System Enhancement

  • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Verification Testing (PVT) to validate system upgrades and ensure successful deployment of new features.

  • Document and communicate test results to development and technical teams to ensure accurate system updates.

  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal finance, IT, and business teams to resolve critical data issues and ensure accurate information flows across platforms.

  • Partner with global stakeholders to align data management practices and ensure consistency in operations.


Basic Qualifications

Applicants must fulfill the following key qualifications to be eligible for this role:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (B.Com or equivalent).

  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or related financial operations roles.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, including experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with proven experience in internal and external stakeholder management.

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze large datasets, draw insights, and implement improvements effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, or within an Accounts Payable/Receivable or General Ledger function.

  • Full-cycle Accounts Receivable experience including billing, collections, reconciliation, and cash application.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Financial Applications or similar platforms.

  • Proven track record of working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while delivering high-quality results.

  • Self-driven with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and lead process enhancement initiatives.
