Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Windchill Support Consultant with over 6 years of expertise in Windchill development and support. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), advanced customization, and client engagement within a dynamic, innovation-driven environment. Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Windchill architecture and a strong foundation in Windchill customization, including workflow development, reporting configurations, and user interface enhancements. Your ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and demonstrate high technical acumen will be essential in supporting our customers’ evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and development for Windchill PDMLink and ProjectLink systems.
• Customize Windchill components including Form Processors, Validators, Data Utilities, and Form Controllers to tailor PLM solutions to specific client requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver optimized Windchill configurations and customizations.
• Implement and maintain customized workflows and lifecycle definitions within Windchill to align with business processes.
• Develop custom reports using Windchill’s Reporting Framework and integrate with existing business intelligence tools.
• Manage the full lifecycle of PLM implementation projects, from requirement gathering and solution design to deployment and support.
• Apply expert-level knowledge of Java/J2EE, including JavaScript, GWT, JQuery, XML, JSP, and SQL for Windchill application development.
• Support and enhance the Build and Release process for Windchill deployments.
• Work within Agile methodologies to deliver sprint-based enhancements and quick turnarounds for customer requests.
• Lead technical troubleshooting sessions and proactively resolve production issues.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in PLM solution development.

Core Competencies and Technical Skills

• At least six years of practical experience in developing and supporting Windchill solutions.
• Solid understanding of Windchill architecture, including database structures, services, and configurations.
• In-depth experience in developing and customizing both the user interface and backend components of Windchill using Java and various web technologies.
• Expertise in handling Windchill Form Processors, Validators, Form Controllers, and Data Utilities.
• Proven ability to implement custom workflows and lifecycle states to streamline business operations.
• Proficiency in generating reports using Windchill’s reporting tools and integrating external reporting platforms.
• Experience with full PLM lifecycle implementations, from discovery to deployment.
• Strong understanding of release engineering practices, version control tools, and CI/CD pipelines for managing Windchill deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile project methodologies, Scrum practices, and sprint planning.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, self-driven with the ability to take initiative without close supervision.
