As an Oracle Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our clients’ digital transformation journeys by designing and automating robust Oracle environments, particularly on Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC). This role requires a unique blend of database expertise, automation skills, regulatory awareness, and a DevOps approach to building scalable and secure cloud solutions.

Role Overview: Oracle Architect – ExaCC Environment

Location: Onsite (with flexibility to travel quarterly as required)
Work Model: Hybrid / Onsite (occasional off-hours work may be necessary)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in Oracle Database Administration, with strong experience in Exadata and ExaCC environments.

As a core member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for building, automating, migrating, and maintaining Oracle solutions on Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC). Your role spans engineering secure, compliant cloud infrastructure, facilitating complex Oracle migrations, and developing infrastructure-as-code to integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines.

Your daily tasks will include:

Designing and implementing comprehensive Oracle Database migration solutions to Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC) environments.
Automating infrastructure provisioning using Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and Python.
Configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Key Vault, and ensuring environments are compliant with regulatory standards.
Supporting Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) implementations and post-cutover monitoring.
Collaborating with Product Owners, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure teams to align solutions with business objectives.

This is a highly hands-on, technically intensive role where your problem-solving ability, system thinking, and commitment to automation will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and deploy Oracle cloud solutions leveraging Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to ensure scalable and secure environments.
Migrate complex Oracle database workloads to cloud-native and hybrid platforms.
Automate deployment processes using modern CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git) and configuration management platforms (Ansible).
Implement and manage Oracle MAA frameworks to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
Optimize Oracle database performance settings to maximize efficiency and ensure effective utilization of system resources.
Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging frameworks with Oracle Enterprise Manager and external tools to ensure system visibility and performance tracking.
Ensure database compliance with security standards, regulations, and client-specific governance frameworks.
Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile, DevOps-oriented environment, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Oracle RDBMS Expertise: Deep understanding of Oracle database internals and hands-on administration of large-scale environments.
Expertise in Exadata and ExaCC: Demonstrated hands-on experience in administering and supporting Oracle Exadata and Exadata Cloud at Customer implementations.
Database Migrations: Hands-on expertise in planning and executing Oracle database migrations, including zero-downtime strategies.
Strong Knowledge of MAA: In-depth experience with Oracle’s Maximum Availability Architecture, including Data Guard, Real Application Clusters (RAC), and advanced backup and recovery strategies.
Oracle Enterprise Manager: Strong background in OEM configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring.
Oracle Key Vault Expertise: Hands-on experience in administering Oracle Key Vault to ensure secure storage and management of encryption keys.
Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Oracle Enterprise Linux and virtualized environments.
Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and deployments.

Automation & DevOps Tools:

Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Python for scripting and pipeline automation.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code practices and tools.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines to support agile delivery.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

SSO, LDAP & Authorization Protocols: Basic understanding of authentication and identity management in Oracle environments.
Networking Fundamentals: Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and firewall configurations.
Advanced Python Scripting: Ability to build automation and orchestration solutions using Python.
Agile Delivery Frameworks: Prior exposure to Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.
