Amazon NOC Hiring Transportation Specialist – Last Mile Logistics Role in Hyderabad

Explore a Career as a Transportation Operations Specialist (NOC-CO) at Amazon, Hyderabad

Are you looking to advance your career in logistics and transportation operations with one of the world’s most innovative companies? Amazon is hiring a Transportation Operations Specialist (NOC-CO) for its Hyderabad office—a role that sits at the core of Amazon’s supply chain excellence and supports last-mile logistics functions across global geographies. This is a dynamic opportunity to join Amazon’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and contribute to driving operational efficiency, automation, and superior customer experience.

About Amazon NOC – The Central Command of Transportation Execution

The Network Operations Center (NOC) serves as the nerve center for Amazon’s transportation network, supporting end-to-end execution across multiple regions, including North America (NA), Europe (EU), and India. It plays a critical role in ensuring seamless freight movement—from vendors to Amazon’s fulfillment centers and further to the delivery hubs—enabling on-time delivery of millions of customer orders every day.

The NOC intervenes in real time to resolve logistical exceptions, while also analyzing operational trends and driving process automation. By streamlining transportation processes and reducing operational disruptions, the NOC plays a key role in ensuring Amazon meets its delivery promises and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction.

Introduction to Central Operations (CO) – Driving Standardization and Cost Optimization

Nested within the NOC framework is the Amazon Logistics Central Operations (AMZL CO) team, dedicated to last-mile execution support. This team is instrumental in building a unified and cost-effective operational structure across regions. The focus is on delivering high-quality outputs at reduced operational costs by centralizing core logistics functions.

The Central Operations (CO) team manages the planning and execution processes that impact Delivery Station (DS) operations throughout the AMZL, AMXL, and SSD networks. Through process standardization and automation, the team enhances scheduling, route planning, and channel allocation while minimizing costs and freeing station personnel to prioritize on-ground operations.

Key Functional Areas Covered by CO:

  1. Central Allocation – Eliminates human bias in channel assignment for streamlined performance.

  2. Centralized Routing and Scheduling (CRS) – Oversees pre-scheduled and day-of route planning.

  3. CO Systems Management (COSM) – Manages configuration tools and sector setups for efficient route and sort planning.

  4. Driver Support (CO DS) – Simplifies delivery operations by coordinating rescues using tools like Rescue Planner (RP) and Mission Control (MC).

  5. Channel and Payment Support – Ensures efficient validation of Work Schedule Time (WST), invoicing, and incentive structures.

Project MARCOPOLO – Amazon’s Vision for Global Operational Parity

Launched in mid-2021, the MARCOPOLO initiative aims to build a global Center of Excellence by centralizing CO execution services across NA, EU, and Rest of World (RoW) markets. This global strategy is designed to:

  • Enable 24/7 geographic support

  • Leverage cross-time-zone synergy for headcount optimization

  • Maintain or surpass Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality metrics

  • Foster global operational standardization

  • Automate repetitive tasks using internal engineering capabilities

  • Collaborate with country-specific program teams to drive innovation

  • Facilitate unified product and technology requests across markets

The goal is to establish a scalable, hybrid operational model that balances global parity with local agility—delivering best-in-class last-mile logistics execution worldwide.
