Role Purpose:

This critical finance role falls under the Corporate FET (Finance Excellence Team) and directly supports Global Digital Technology (GDT) and Global Business Services (GBS). The Finance Manager will be responsible for shaping and managing a €300 million people cost portfolio — including budget planning, forecasting, cost control, and productivity initiatives.

This is a highly strategic role that impacts Unilever’s global operations, offering excellent visibility with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. • Drive monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.

  • Build Power BI dashboards for deep-dive analysis, decision support, and productivity monitoring.

  • Work closely with HR teams and business stakeholders to align people cost with workforce planning.

  • Track contractor/contingent labor costs, insourcing strategies, and organizational changes.

  • Lead simplification and automation of people cost processes and reports.

  • Influence senior stakeholders across finance, HR, and service line leadership.

  • Deliver in-year people cost targets by driving transparency and accountability.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: CA, CIMA, ACCA, MBA, or an equivalent post-graduate qualification.

  • Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in financial planning, cost management, and strategic reporting in a multinational or large enterprise setting.

Key Stakeholders You’ll Collaborate With:

  • CFO and VP Finance (GDT & GBS)

  • Service Line Heads (VPs)

  • HR Leaders of GDT and GBS

  • Corporate Finance Excellence Team

Leadership & Technical Skills Required:

  • Strategic decision-making and sound financial governance

  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical capabilities

  • High-level presentation and stakeholder communication skills

  • Confidence to challenge norms and introduce innovative solutions

  • Planning mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Experience in process optimization and cost-saving initiatives

  • Collaborative approach in a global virtual team environment

Tools & Competencies:

  • MS Office: Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

  • Power BI reporting and data visualization experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simplified manner

  • High resilience under pressure and ability to deliver to deadlines

  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrix organization

Why Join Unilever?

  • Purpose-driven leadership: Unilever champions sustainability and business with impact.
