Retail Business Services (RBS) is a critical Amazon vertical that supports core retail functions by offering centralized solutions to enhance product quality, improve speed-to-market, and scale merchandising efforts. The RBS Marketing team designs and executes digital campaigns, site merchandising strategies, and performance marketing initiatives that support millions of daily customer interactions across Amazon platforms.

As an Associate Marketing Manager, you will be at the heart of Amazon’s strategy to deliver seamless online shopping experiences and meaningful business outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams across marketing, analytics, content, product, and engineering to drive engagement, growth, and operational success.


Key Responsibilities

1. Campaign Development and Execution

  • Take full ownership of marketing initiatives, from concept to execution.

  • Design, develop, and launch on-site and off-site campaigns across categories and customer segments.

  • Execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new product launches, feature rollouts, and promotional events.

  • Plan and manage seasonal campaigns, email marketing programs, merchandising initiatives, and more.

2. Customer Data Analysis and Insights

  • Deep dive into customer behavior data such as browsing patterns, keyword searches, and purchase activity.

  • Create and manage dashboards using Excel, SQL, or Tableau to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Translate data insights into actionable strategies that drive click-throughs, conversions, and engagement.

3. On-Site Content Management and Optimization

  • Partner with designers, product managers, and copywriters to build intuitive and engaging landing pages.

  • Manage the end-to-end flow of content across Amazon’s web and mobile platforms.

  • Conduct regular A/B tests to optimize visual assets, messaging, and user flows to increase conversion rates.

4. Cross-Functional Project Management

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including teams based in the US, aligning marketing strategies with business goals.

  • Participate in regular cross-functional meetings, communicating progress, blockers, and performance updates.

  • Act as a liaison between marketing, design, product, and tech teams to deliver cohesive and scalable campaigns.

5. SEO and Organic Growth Strategy

  • Implement search engine optimization strategies to increase discoverability and traffic.

  • Create and maintain keyword-rich, relevant content that improves both search rankings and user experience.

  • Measure the impact of organic growth initiatives and report learnings for continuous improvement.

6. Experimentation and Conversion Optimization

  • Design and execute experiments to refine audience targeting and campaign effectiveness.

  • Track metrics like click-through rate (CTR), bounce rate, customer retention, and lifetime value (LTV).

  • Share learnings across the organization to promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.


Qualifications – What Amazon Looks For

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in marketing, excluding internships.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Tableau, including pivot tables, charts, macros, and data visualization.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating and managing online campaigns or digital stores.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments.

  • Data-driven decision-making skills and comfort in working with metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving business needs and customer expectations.

  • Eagerness to learn in-house tools and XML basics to manage technical aspects of marketing operations.

  • Passion for e-commerce, customer experience, and retail technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or digital advertising.

  • Exposure to site merchandising platforms and tools.

  • Knowledge of SEO strategies, keyword optimization, and content copywriting.

  • Background in marketing communications or product launches across digital channels.

  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent degree in marketing, digital media, or communications.


Work Environment & Time Zone

This role closely collaborates with US-based stakeholders, and therefore requires working hours aligned with Eastern or Pacific Time Zones. Flexibility and the ability to manage a hybrid schedule or night shifts are essential for effective communication and project execution.
