Job Summary: Security Architect – L1

Wipro is hiring an experienced Security Architect – L1 for its Coimbatore delivery center. This role is essential to designing and managing enterprise-wide cybersecurity architecture that safeguards infrastructure, applications, networks, and sensitive data from ever-evolving threats.

As a Security Architect, you will assess risk, define frameworks, implement controls, and support compliance with global standards. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and audit teams to drive proactive security practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Security Architecture & Strategy

• Design and implement cybersecurity architectures that align with business objectives and industry regulations.

• Conduct security assessments based on industry frameworks like NIST, CIS, SANS, and tailor controls based on business-specific risk profiles.

• Evaluate business strategies and conduct vulnerability and risk analyses to identify gaps and define mitigation plans.

• Propose architectural changes and design enhancements to address emerging cyber threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and design flaws.

• Recommend best-fit security solutions across key areas such as:

  • Network security

  • Endpoint protection

  • API and integration security

  • Data security

  • Identity and access management (IAM)

• Develop secure frameworks with layered security, zoning, and segmentation for cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

• Lead design assurance during RFP processes and proposal development for new client engagements.

2. Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance

• Maintain and update the Information Security Risk Register, tracking organizational risks and corresponding mitigation strategies.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required evidence, architectural documentation, and policy alignment.

• Design security policies and guidelines in accordance with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and industry best practices.

• Provide architectural oversight for change requests, configuration management, and incident resolution in accordance with ITIL practices.

• Contribute to the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies by providing inputs on secure recovery architecture and breach response.

• Provide support during deployment, configuration, and integration of security technologies.

• Offer technical leadership in the implementation of custom security solutions.

• Design complete to-be security architectures based on client requirements, technology stack, and business constraints.

• Build solution roadmaps and target-state security architecture blueprints.

• Identify trade-offs between existing and proposed architectures, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.

• Evaluate and recommend security tools and platforms to complement existing technology ecosystems.

• Work closely with delivery teams to oversee the seamless rollout of security frameworks and policies.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills (Must-Have):

• Experience in cybersecurity threat modeling, security baselining, and mitigation planning.
