Role Overview: Deputy Group Manager – OTC Transformation
In this leadership role, you will act as the Global Process Owner for O2C transformation, leading the analysis, design, and execution of finance transformation initiatives across regions including the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This position demands strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and deep expertise in Accounts Receivable and Order to Cash process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global transformation of the Order to Cash (O2C) function, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reducing operational costs, and driving client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-regional teams and senior client stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and define a roadmap for process excellence.
- Develop and enforce standardized O2C policies, frameworks, and procedures aligned with financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts using tools such as SAP S/4HANA, automation, AI, and process mining.
- Utilize prior experience with SAP migrations to assess transformation risks and ensure process alignment.
- Contextualize core O2C sub-processes such as collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and credit management to identify root causes and recommend resolution strategies.
- Perform in-depth data analysis and generate actionable insights to optimize O2C KPIs and enhance financial performance.
- Drive the evaluation and implementation of cutting-edge technology tools for O2C automation and digital enablement.
- Engage with internal delivery centers in India and the US to coordinate transformation efforts and manage execution risks.
- Regularly present transformation insights, performance trends, and strategy recommendations to executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field is required.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, particularly within the Order to Cash function.
- Hands-on leadership experience in large-scale, global O2C transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of AR management, SOX compliance, and financial governance practices.
- Comprehensive experience utilizing SAP platforms, with a strong background in managing S/4HANA migration projects and optimizing related financial processes.
- Proven ability to analyze financial reports, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategic improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (MBA) or professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in FMCG, manufacturing, or global shared services environments.
- Exposure to O2C automation platforms and process mining tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
