Role Overview
As a SAP HANA SD Consultant, you will be instrumental in designing and deploying advanced SAP solutions. The position requires a blend of strong consultative skills, technical acumen, and business understanding. You will guide clients through the implementation of SAP HANA Sales and Distribution (SD) modules, enabling them to optimize performance, streamline operations, and drive innovation.
Working as part of IBM’s Consulting Client Innovation Center, you’ll contribute to mission-critical projects and provide end-to-end SAP consulting services. The role demands a high degree of independence and offers significant exposure to global best practices in SAP consulting.
Core Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to identify business challenges and propose SAP-based solutions.
- Lead the implementation of SAP SD modules, ensuring seamless integration with related logistics functions like SAP MM (Materials Management).
- Create detailed documentation outlining functional and technical requirements for custom ABAP developments and interface solutions.
- Collaborate with business users across different regions to understand their needs and define the project scope.
- Drive end-to-end solution delivery, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Interpret new business strategies and provide recommendations for aligning IT infrastructure.
- Work independently on multiple projects, managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in SAP consulting, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations as a lead consultant.
- Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience in SAP SD and MM modules.
- Proficiency in writing functional/technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of ABAP development and debugging.
- Consulting Skills: Ability to analyze client needs, communicate solutions effectively, and drive adoption.
- Testing & Deployment: Strong understanding of system testing, user acceptance, and go-live support.
- Languages: Fluent in Czech/Slovak and English. German language proficiency is considered a plus.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience in agile project environments.
- Familiarity with S/4HANA migration projects.
- Exposure to cloud-based SAP deployments.
