As a Developer – L3, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software programs and applications. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, robust code that meets client requirements and aligns with project goals.


Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop software components and solutions that align with client expectations and Wipro’s commitment to 100% quality assurance. You will contribute across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis and design to coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.


Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design and Requirements Analysis

  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with system analysts and stakeholders to gather and validate software requirements.

  • Investigate software defects and perform root cause analysis to provide long-term fixes.

  • Recommend system improvements that boost efficiency, scalability, and performance.

2. Software Development and Implementation

  • Design and build clean, efficient, and well-documented code for new or existing applications.

  • Modify software to fix bugs, upgrade functionalities, and optimize performance.

  • Develop and automate test cases to ensure software meets specified functionality and standards.

  • Evaluate new software tools or platforms and integrate them where applicable.

  • Ensure that all development activities comply with coding standards and security guidelines.

3. Code Optimization and Testing

  • Create and run unit tests, regression tests, and user acceptance tests to validate software integrity.

  • Ensure code is free from critical errors and meets deployment readiness criteria.

  • Prepare and maintain thorough documentation including flowcharts, layout diagrams, technical specifications, and user manuals.

  • Continuously monitor and debug applications in production environments to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

4. Reporting and Documentation

  • Provide accurate and timely reports on project progress, bug fixes, feature implementation, and testing results.

  • Coordinate with project managers and team leads to ensure alignment with project timelines and client expectations.

  • Maintain clear records of development efforts, changes, and deployment logs for future reference and compliance.

5. Customer Interaction and Continuous Feedback

  • Engage with clients and internal teams to capture feedback, discuss challenges, and implement changes accordingly.

  • Demonstrate strong customer focus through timely response to queries and issues.

  • Ensure professional communication etiquette in written and verbal exchanges with stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in software development, application support, or system integration.


Technical Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate should have expertise in the following areas:

  • Programming Languages: Java, C++, Python, or equivalent

  • Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, .NET Core, or similar frameworks

  • Databases: SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases

  • DevOps Tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

  • Testing Tools: JUnit, Selenium, Postman

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred)
