About the Organization – CE&S and CSS

The Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization comprises over 45,000 professionals worldwide, focused on accelerating customer success through Microsoft’s products, services, and support infrastructure. This division ensures exceptional customer satisfaction across consulting, customer success, and support.

The Customer Service & Support (CSS) unit within CE&S is tasked with resolving customer challenges rapidly, preventing recurring issues, and maximizing the value customers gain from Microsoft solutions.

Key Responsibilities

🛠 Technical Problem Solving

  • Own and resolve complex technical support cases related to SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Prem (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019), and OneDrive for Business.

  • Use diagnostic tools, logs analysis, and PowerShell scripting to identify, troubleshoot, and address underlying technical problems.

  • Collaborate with customers to analyze technical environments, advise on best practices, and provide in-depth issue resolution.

🤝 Customer Advocacy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for Microsoft customers, ensuring timely response, transparency, and satisfaction throughout the support lifecycle.

  • Deliver an exceptional support experience by understanding customer pain points and aligning support efforts to business outcomes.

📚 Knowledge Sharing & Coaching

  • Share your expertise with peers by developing technical documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering internal readiness sessions.

  • Build and contribute to technical communities that encourage the exchange of insights, scripts, and troubleshooting techniques.

Collaboration with Product Engineering

  • Work closely with Microsoft’s product engineering and supportability teams to report bugs, suggest improvements, and help build future diagnostic tools and automation capabilities.

  • Influence future versions of Microsoft products based on customer feedback and field experiences.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Core Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or IT retail services, preferably focused on Microsoft technologies.

  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting SharePoint (Online and On-Prem) and OneDrive for Business in enterprise environments.

  • In-depth understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, retention policies, content deployment, and compliance/security features (e.g., DLP, eDiscovery).

🧠 Advanced Knowledge Areas

  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for administrative automation.

  • Experience with ULS log analysis and use of SharePoint migration tools.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration workflows with SharePoint and OneDrive.

  • Hands-on expertise in file sharing, permissions management, sync client behavior, and storage optimization in OneDrive.

🌐 Language Skills

  • Must be fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications in M365, SharePoint, or Azure platforms.

  • Exposure to incident management systems, ticketing platforms, or ITIL processes.

  • Experience working with global clients or handling high-severity incidents.
