Overview
Cognizant is seeking a highly experienced and self-driven SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Intune Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic global technology team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading enterprise-level device management initiatives, particularly in a co-managed environment that integrates Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune. This is a highly technical position requiring deep expertise, strategic vision, and excellent interpersonal communication.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Administration and Support
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune for tasks including Enrollment, Profile/Policy deployments, Application Management, Device Compliance, and Endpoint Security.
- Implement and manage Intune reporting mechanisms to ensure organizational security and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Support Autopilot provisioning of Windows devices, resolving build and deployment issues as required.
- Migrate applications and management workloads from SCCM to Intune, including handling Win32, LoB (Line of Business) apps.
- Monitor and maintain Windows Update Rings, troubleshoot patch deployment failures, and ensure timely updates across endpoints.
Security and Endpoint Management
- Implement and manage Windows 10/11 security features such as BitLocker encryption, Security Baselines, Credential Guard, Device Guard, and Defender for Endpoint.
- Coordinate with security vendors and manage third-party integrations like Zscaler, Trend Micro, and Tanium.
- Execute Proactive Remediation Scripts through Intune using PowerShell to detect and fix endpoint issues automatically.
Networking and Infrastructure Insight
- Utilize foundational networking skills involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi to support endpoint connectivity.
- Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure or user-related issues and implement preventive measures.
IT Service Management and Documentation
- Utilize ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, playbooks, and SOPs to streamline operations and support scalability.
Core Qualifications
- Proven expertise in SCCM and Intune configuration in co-managed environments.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in Endpoint Management and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Strong scripting knowledge in PowerShell for automation and remediation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Security solutions and a deep familiarity with organizational compliance frameworks and policies.
- Proven track record in overseeing enterprise-level application migration projects and ensuring seamless deployment across large environments.
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust Architecture and integration with M365 security suite.
Preferred Skills and Tools
- Practical experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC and a strong background in managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Exposure to Hybrid Azure AD Join and Conditional Access configurations.
- Experience with third-party security and network tools such as Zscaler, Trend Micro, Tanium.

- Represent the endpoint management team in strategic discussions and planning sessions.
- Drive thought leadership by introducing forward-thinking strategies and implementing next-generation solutions in enterprise device management.
