Role Overview: Platform Development Architect – L2

As a Platform Dev Architect – L2, your primary responsibility is to engineer and deliver architectural excellence across both new and existing enterprise-grade products. You will play a strategic role in aligning architectural designs with business goals and technology trends, ensuring products are scalable, reliable, and future-ready. From conceptual design to implementation and deployment, you’ll influence every step of the product lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Strategy & Design

• Interpret product vision and business goals to define high-level architecture requirements.

• Develop robust architectural frameworks for both greenfield and brownfield product development initiatives.

• Create scalable, reliable, and cost-optimized system designs compatible with a range of deployment environments (cloud/on-premise/hybrid).

• Continuously review and enhance product designs to meet evolving technical and business expectations.

2. Product Development & Technical Leadership

• Oversee implementation phases and provide hands-on support to development teams.

• Troubleshoot complex architectural issues and drive resolution during critical implementation stages.

• Guide teams in adopting architectural best practices and reusable design patterns.

• Evangelize the architectural approach and design principles to internal stakeholders and client teams.

3. Innovation & Proof of Concept (PoC)

• Lead theme-based PoC development to validate the feasibility of emerging ideas and tech integrations.

• Analyze new trends and propose innovative technology strategies to strengthen the product roadmap.

• Translate business challenges into technology-led solutions that enhance client value.

4. Client Engagement & Pre-sales Support

• Contribute to RFP responses by defining technical solutions aligned with client objectives.

• Work with pre-sales, sales, and consulting teams to ensure architectural soundness of proposed solutions.

• Conduct impact analysis of client requirements on existing product architecture and recommend scalable improvements.

5. Solution Validation & Deployment Support

• Provide architectural validation of developed prototypes to ensure alignment with cost, differentiation, and technical standards.

• Support delivery teams during deployment with strategic input and resolution of implementation challenges.

• Define product validation frameworks, including performance testing strategies tailored to client use cases.

6. Thought Leadership & Practice Building

• Publish white papers, blogs, and thought leadership content representing Wipro’s point of view on architecture and product design.

• Mentor developers and junior architects to build internal capability and align talent with strategic goals.

• Represent Wipro at external forums, industry conferences, and internal knowledge-sharing events.

7. Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation

• Conduct root cause analysis on architectural breakdowns and propose effective mitigation strategies.

• Anticipate future challenges and plan architectural changes that mitigate implementation risks.

• Maintain alignment between product upgrades and market demand by monitoring trends and customer feedback.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

• Expertise in MuleSoft Platform Architecture

  • Proficiency in Anypoint Platform, API design and management, Mule runtime, and DataWeave.

  • In-depth knowledge of MuleSoft architectural components including API Gateway, Runtime Fabric, and integration patterns.

Experience:

• 8–10 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in architecture and solutioning using MuleSoft.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Full-time, 15 years of education mandatory).
