Role Objective: Lead Performance and Technical Delivery Excellence

The Technical Lead – L1 plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of technical processes, mentoring production specialists, managing client escalations, and driving operational efficiency. This role demands a proactive leader with deep technical acumen, process understanding, and people management skills.

As a Technical Lead, you will act as the first point of escalation for technical concerns, help your team troubleshoot issues efficiently, and implement preventive measures to improve overall service delivery. Your role also includes capability development by mentoring your team, organizing triages, and contributing to technical knowledge sharing.


Key Responsibilities: Lead, Support, and Inspire

1. Performance Oversight and Process Support

  • Monitor Daily Operations: Supervise the daily performance of Production Specialists to ensure compliance with operational standards.

  • Performance Review: Analyze team dashboards and identify improvement areas in productivity and quality.

  • Process Improvement: Provide timely guidance and support to team members to address process gaps and enhance output.

  • Query Management: Log and track client queries, analyze resolution trends, and ensure transparency in resolution status.

  • Compliance & SLA Adherence: Ensure all customer interactions meet contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Call Log Analysis: Document call logs to identify recurring issues and design preventive strategies.

  • Escalation Protocol: Promptly escalate unresolved or complex client issues to the Team Leader or Subject Matter Experts.

  • Client Communication: Ensure clear, professional, and informative communication before and after every customer interaction.

  • Legal & Policy Compliance: Maintain compliance with all client agreements and legal mandates to avoid regulatory risks.

2. Technical Escalation and Resolution Management

  • Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Address complex client issues through step-by-step problem diagnosis using MEAN stack expertise.

  • Timely Escalation: Escalate unresolved challenges to the Technical Architect (TA) or System Engineering Support (SES) when necessary.

  • Product Support: Deliver user-friendly, courteous, and solution-oriented assistance to clients on technical issues.

  • Alternate Solutions: Offer viable alternatives to clients to ensure high satisfaction and retention.

  • Follow-Up Calls: Maintain communication with clients post-resolution to gather feedback and ensure contractual compliance.

3. Capability Building and Training

  • Mentorship: Guide Production Specialists in expanding their technical knowledge and improving troubleshooting effectiveness.

  • Skill Gap Identification: Interview team members to identify skill deficiencies and curate targeted training content.

  • Triage Implementation: Conduct skill-enhancement triage sessions based on product updates and process gaps.

  • Client Coordination: Notify clients of upcoming internal trainings to maintain transparency and collaborative trust.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging product features, industry trends, and training mandates.


Performance Metrics and Deliverables

To ensure success in this role, the Technical Lead is evaluated on three core performance dimensions:

1. Process Management

  • Volume of queries resolved per day

  • Adherence to quality benchmarks and SLAs

  • Customer feedback and satisfaction metrics (Pulse score, NSAT, ESAT)

2. Team Productivity

  • Individual and collective team productivity

  • Attendance, punctuality, and absenteeism tracking

3. Training and Capability Enhancement

  • Number and quality of triages conducted

  • Team performance in technical assessments


Technical Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate must demonstrate hands-on proficiency in the MEAN Fullstack Development Suite, including:

  • MongoDB – Schema design, query optimization, and document management.

  • Express.js – Server-side logic implementation and RESTful API integrations.

  • Angular – Frontend development, reactive forms, routing, and UI optimizations.

  • Node.js – Server-side scripting, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architecture.

Experience in designing end-to-end web applications using the MEAN stack is essential, along with the ability to debug code, manage application performance, and implement scalable solutions.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Requirement: Minimum 15 years of full-time education in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in technical support, application development, or IT operations.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of team mentorship, performance management, and capability development.
