Position Overview: Sales Executive – Retail and Consumer Goods
Wipro is looking for a high-performing Sales Executive to lead new business development initiatives in the Retail and Consumer Goods sector across the Midwest region (remote-based). This is a pure hunting role focused on acquiring net new accounts. The successful candidate will build strategic relationships at the C-suite level, identify business challenges, and deliver Wipro’s end-to-end digital transformation solutions.
You will represent the Wipro brand and its full portfolio of services, working cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and industry stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone with deep domain expertise, strong industry networks, and a passion for driving large-scale engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with potential clients, particularly within the Fortune 2000 and Global 2000 segments.
- Develop a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for Retail and Consumer Goods clients in the Midwest territory.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities into high-value engagements.
- Understand client transformation agendas and offer tailored solutions that align with their strategic goals.
- Drive the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting to contract negotiation—ensuring alignment with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Wipro’s pre-sales, delivery, and vertical teams to craft custom solutions and win pursuits.
- Build credibility in the territory through thought leadership, customer engagement, and consistent delivery of business impact.
- Leverage industry partnerships, including digital and cloud alliances, to co-create compelling joint offerings.
- Work closely with procurement and client relationship teams to ensure contract efficiency, timely invoicing, and successful onboarding.
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term success through relationship management and post-sale support coordination.
Desired Skills and Capabilities
- 18–22 years of proven experience in enterprise sales, preferably with Tier-1 technology or consulting organizations.
- Extensive network within the Retail and Consumer Goods industry across the U.S., especially the Midwest.
- Demonstrated success in originating, qualifying, and closing multi-million-dollar new logo deals.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate strategically with top-level executives such as CIOs, CTOs, and CMOs to influence key business decisions.
- Deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, digital transformation trends, and technology landscapes.
- Strong experience in crafting client-specific solutions, drawing from a range of digital, cloud, and platform services.
- Track record of acquiring and expanding G2000 client relationships.
- Familiarity with global delivery models and operating frameworks.
- Outstanding negotiation, influencing, and consultative sales skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-complexity, strategic pursuits.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $150,000 – $210,000
