Role Overview: What You Will Do

As a Package Consultant – SAP EIM, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying SAP data integration and migration solutions. You’ll be responsible for guiding clients through complex data transformation initiatives—ensuring the accurate, efficient, and secure transfer of business-critical data to and from SAP environments.

You will combine your functional and technical SAP expertise to create seamless ETL flows, optimize data governance frameworks, and implement best practices in SAP data lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP Data Services (BODS), Information Steward (BOIS), and HANA SDI solutions for enterprise clients.

• Execute data migration strategies from legacy systems (SAP and non-SAP) to SAP S/4HANA, including support for SAP Migration Cockpit and custom migration methods.

• Translate business and functional requirements into detailed design specifications, mapping documents, and technical deliverables.

• Develop, configure, and deploy ETL pipelines and data flows using BODS, SDI, and other SAP data management tools.

• Conduct thorough testing cycles including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

• Utilize BOIS for data profiling, quality checks, and governance protocols.

• Optimize performance, scalability, and reusability of data integration jobs and SAP EIM configurations.

• Support clients in post-go-live maintenance, troubleshooting, and solution enhancements.

• Work collaboratively in Agile project teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and cross-functional updates.

• Stay current on SAP Data Hub, SAP Data Intelligence, and emerging technologies in data governance and integration.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Engineering, or equivalent field.

Experience

• Total Experience: 5 to 8 years in IT consulting with a focus on SAP data services.

• SAP Functional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years specializing in SAP BODS, BOIS, or HANA SDI.

• Data Migration Projects: Must have completed multiple full-cycle SAP data migration projects including SAP ECC to S/4HANA.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on expertise in SAP BODS: Workflow creation, data extraction/transformation/loading, error handling.

• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA SDI (Smart Data Integration) including flowgraph development.

• Experience using SAP BO Information Steward for data profiling, cleansing, and governance.

• Knowledge of data mapping, data cleansing, and legacy-to-SAP data transformation methods.

• Familiarity with SAP Data Hub or SAP Data Intelligence (preferred).

• Ability to prepare detailed functional/technical documentation, including mapping sheets and design specifications.

• Understanding of SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP Migration Cockpit methodologies.
