Position Summary
We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant – Project Manager in the Corporate and Investment Banking Operations (CIB Ops) domain. This position, based in Bangalore, offers the opportunity to work in the Change Release Management and Quality Assurance space. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional project management skills, strong stakeholder communication abilities, and a sharp focus on governance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Governance & Execution

Define detailed project scopes, objectives, and success criteria aligned with stakeholders.

Develop, manage, and deliver robust project plans within the set timeline and budget.

Track progress and performance through Agile methodologies and Kanban boards.

Adjust and realign delivery plans as needed to meet evolving project conditions.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a liaison between business process owners, IT architects, and engineering teams.

Translate business goals into technical requirements, ensuring seamless data extraction and transformation.

Coordinate with IT and security teams to address system integrations, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure requirements.

Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) to align cross-team priorities and documentation.
3. Risk & Compliance Management

Proactively identify and manage risks such as data quality challenges or regulatory limitations.

Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including GDPR, SOX, and BCBS 239.

Work closely with SMEs to clarify deliverables and compliance obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Stakeholder Management

Manage high-level communications with senior stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and alignment.

Navigate complex interdependencies with internal departments, third-party vendors, and procurement teams.

Maintain a client-focused mindset while balancing internal delivery milestones.
5. Reporting & Documentation

Deliver structured updates regarding ROI, project progress, and improvement opportunities.

Maintain key project documentation, including RAID logs, charters, and weekly dashboards.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Computer Science, etc.).

Proven experience in large-scale project management within a banking or financial services environment.

Deep understanding of change management processes and QA standards.

Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Experience using tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Jira.

Demonstrated leadership in team coordination and delivery oversight.

Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, managing competing priorities.

Solid grasp of project budgeting, resource planning, and tracking financial KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or PMP/Prince2/Agile certifications.

Strong exposure to banking operations, digital transformation projects, and cross-border compliance standards.

Practical experience with process mining, automation platforms, and audit-readiness assessments.

Previous leadership in global deployment environments involving multiple geographies.
