Position Overview

This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong programming skills in C and Unix Shell scripting, with a passion for problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization. Candidates should have a background in Agile development methodologies and, preferably, prior experience in the banking or financial services domain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Analysis & Solution Design
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand the software/product requirements and contribute to solution design.
- Analyze client business needs and convert them into functional software specifications.
- Investigate problem areas, identify gaps, and recommend efficient solutions.
- Engage with project teams to analyze and validate the technical and operational feasibility of software implementations.
2. Core Development & Debugging
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented C code adhering to project specifications.
- Design, implement, and support Unix Shell scripts to streamline automation processes and enable seamless system integration.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, enhance functionality, and adapt to hardware changes.
- Perform rigorous unit and integration testing to validate software stability, functionality, and performance under real-world conditions.
3. Process Optimization & Validation
- Automate software validation through well-structured test cases, scenarios, and usage models.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve bugs, inefficiencies, and system bottlenecks.
- Improve software performance by analyzing system behavior and recommending upgrades.
- Ensure that all development aligns with internal coding standards and best practices.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including flowcharts, system layouts, data models, and code comments.
- Prepare project status reports, technical summaries, and test result documentation.
- Maintain high-quality communication with stakeholders through email and other formal channels.
5. Customer Interaction & Feedback Management
- Collaborate with clients to gather clear software requirements and provide timely progress updates.
- Incorporate client feedback into the development process to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing queries, resolving issues, and maintaining business etiquette.
- Engage in training and continuous education to stay updated with the latest development trends and technologies.
Technical Competencies
- Programming Languages: Strong command over C programming.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting.
- Debugging: Excellent debugging and error-resolution skills.
- Development Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks.
- Domain Expertise: Preferably experienced in the banking and financial sectors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
