We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Solution Architect – L1 to join our Bengaluru office. This role involves designing enterprise-grade solutions, providing architectural leadership, and supporting client engagements to ensure the delivery of scalable, robust, and forward-thinking technologies.


Role Objective

The primary mission of the Solution Architect – L1 is to craft high-performance architecture frameworks that not only fulfill client requirements but also ensure business continuity, scalability, and agility. This role demands technical depth, leadership, and an aptitude for innovative thinking.


Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Solution Development

  • Develop scalable and reliable enterprise-wide architectural solutions for new deals and major project change requests.
  • Respond to client RFPs with tailored architectural blueprints that ensure design assurance and compliance.
  • Architect future-ready solution portfolios including systems, shared infrastructure, and applications aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the technology environment, organizational context, and client expectations to construct effective architectural strategies.
  • Lead the design and development of custom solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Evaluate existing architectures, identify improvements, and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance through well-documented and sellable architecture targets and reusable design patterns.

2. Technology Evaluation and Transition Support

  • Recommend integration techniques and system architectures that complement the overall tech ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal IT groups to manage task transitions and address performance issues.
  • Create detailed solution documentation including application views, interface designs, and architecture diagrams.
  • Conduct technology and cost validation of prototypes to differentiate Wipro’s offerings.
  • Lead root cause analysis for architectural challenges and propose sustainable solutions.
  • Work alongside sales, consulting, and program teams to reconcile client expectations with architectural capabilities.

3. Strategic Planning and Risk Assessment

  • Provide input during the planning phase to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture objectives.
  • Review solution constraints and identify implementation risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans covering technology, process, and structural risks across all engagements.
  • Ensure architectural integrity and performance through quality assurance mechanisms and delivery support.
  • Drive consistency by enforcing architecture principles and best practices across projects.

Client-Facing Engagement and Pre-Sales Support

  • Collaborate with pre-sales teams to present solution designs and architectural models to clients.
  • Serve as a technical thought leader to establish trust and confidence during client interactions.
  • Manage requirements negotiation and expectation alignment to create impactful client relationships.

Innovation, Research & Thought Leadership

  • Stay ahead of technology trends and apply insights to shape innovative solutions.
  • Build Proof of Concepts (POCs), case studies, and technical demos for emerging domains.
  • Author white papers, blogs, and opinion pieces that reflect Wipro’s position on modern architectural practices.
  • Represent Wipro in technical forums and industry events to enhance brand presence and client recall.

Mentoring and Competency Development

  • Train and guide developers, designers, and junior architects.
  • Support hiring initiatives and conduct technical interviews.
  • Promote a culture of learning and skill advancement across the team.

Team Leadership and Performance Management

  • Forecast talent needs based on industry trends and client demands.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain qualified professionals.
  • Develop career pathways for team members and facilitate skill-building.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and offer constructive feedback.
  • Lead diversity and inclusion efforts in leadership hiring.
  • Enhance employee satisfaction through engagement programs and team-building initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Mandatory Expertise: Enterprise Platform DevOps Tools (CI/CD, automation, monitoring, orchestration, etc.)
  • Experience: 8-10 years in enterprise architecture, solution development, and technical consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, microservices, containers, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work across business units and clients.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering quality architectural designs.
