Position Summary: Lead Consultant – Power BI Developer
Genpact is actively hiring for the position of Lead Consultant – Power BI Developer in its Hyderabad location. Key Responsibilities
1. Dashboard and Reporting Solution Development

Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to design intuitive and interactive Power BI dashboards.

Translate business requirements and user stories into wireframes, visualizations, and analytical dashboards.
2. Data Modeling & Transformation

Retrieve and query data from data lakes, structured databases, or cognitive model tables to build comprehensive data models.

Implement complex DAX expressions and apply business logic using Power BI transformation tools.

Ensure optimized performance and scalability of models for enterprise use.
3. Power BI Architecture and Security

Leverage knowledge of Power BI Data Modeling, report publishing, workspace/app sharing, and dataset scheduling.

Utilize Power BI Gateway to securely manage enterprise-level data connections.

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) — both static and dynamic — to ensure data access is restricted as per user roles.
4. Performance Monitoring & Maintenance

Analyze, debug, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for performance and usability.

Monitor scheduled report refreshes and proactively troubleshoot data load failures.

Maintain version control and documentation for business intelligence assets.
5. Business Insight Delivery

Convert data into meaningful insights and visually compelling stories that drive strategic decisions.

Conceptualize and implement industry-specific analytical reports and dashboards for pilot delivery and full-scale deployment.

Basic Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and dashboard/report design.

Solid understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.

Experience working with data lakes, cloud-based BI platforms, and SQL-based systems.
