You are a seasoned performance engineer with more than a decade of IT expertise, including at least three years in performance analysis and tuning. You possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and system architecture—and you thrive on solving complex performance puzzles.
What You’ll Do
As part of the Power Systems Performance Engineering team, you will:
1. Performance Testing & Analysis

Execute performance testing across IBM Power Systems with Linux OS.

Analyze workloads spanning processor cores, virtual machines, compilers, libraries, and application layers.

Set up performance test environments using PowerVM, enabling virtualization-based benchmarking.
2. Workload Optimization

Tune SAP HANA and other memory-intensive workloads.

Identify performance bottlenecks at processor, storage, virtualization, or OS levels, and recommend optimizations.
3. Tooling & Automation

Use tools like vmstat, netstat, iostat, nmon, topas, top, and custom scripts for monitoring.

Build automation frameworks, test cases, and result‑analysis pipelines to streamline performance assessments.
4. System & Application Tuning

Provide tuning solutions across hardware and software—kernel settings, compiler flags, virtualization parameters, or application-level code optimizations.

Interact with hardware, firmware, and software teams to refine system bring-up and meet performance objectives.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
