Role Overview: Consultant – Internal Audit & SOX
As a Consultant in Internal Audit & SOX at Genpact, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks for our clients, particularly in the domains of Banking, Treasury, Commercial Banking, and Finance. This role demands a meticulous approach to auditing, risk assessment, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead Client Engagements: Manage projects related to Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Internal Audits, Process Reviews, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 assessments.

Execute Strategic Audits: Independently conduct audits, adhering to professional standards and ensuring a comprehensive review of processes and controls.

Develop Audit Programs: Design original audit work programs tailored to each engagement, ensuring alignment with the client’s operational and compliance objectives.

Perform Detailed Audit Work: Collect, analyze, and evaluate evidence to form objective opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.

Ensure Compliance: Validate that control activities conform to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Report Findings and Recommendations: Deliver actionable insights and practical recommendations to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and optimize costs.
Required Qualifications

Educational Background: A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. Certifications like CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) will be considered a significant advantage.

Audit Expertise: A thorough understanding of internal audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, and the controllership domain.
