We are looking for an experienced and motivated Training Consultant – L1 to join our team in Chennai. This position is pivotal for collaborating with stakeholders, identifying training needs, and delivering high-quality instructional solutions. The role demands expertise in Knowledge Management, content development, and a strong command over Microsoft Office tools and modern instructional technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Design and Delivery

As a Training Consultant at Wipro, you will lead initiatives to develop and deliver innovative training solutions:

  • Training Development: Plan, design, and deliver instructor-led training, virtual sessions, and e-learning modules using industry best practices.

  • Trainer Certification: Develop and certify trainers in learning principles, facilitation techniques, and coaching methodologies.

  • Technical Training Delivery: Conduct training programs on advanced Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office tools.

  • Content Development: Create engaging training content that meets the diverse learning needs of employees.

  • Power Platform Expertise: Utilize Power BI dashboards, macros, and other automation tools to enhance training effectiveness, especially supporting the BPO domain in Finance and Accounting (F&A).

2. Training Governance and Reporting

  • Training Governance: Monitor, govern, and report on training activities, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • MIS Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on training status, performance metrics, and outcomes.

  • Knowledge Management: Act as a Knowledge Manager, overseeing the governance of knowledge repositories and content lifecycle management.

3. Training Needs Assessment and Solution Design

  • Needs Analysis: Collaborate with Lines of Business (LOBs) and cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize training needs.

  • Instructional Solutions: Design and implement tailored training programs based on comprehensive needs assessments.

  • Training Methodologies: Apply instructional design principles to deliver a blend of instructor-led, train-the-trainer, and e-learning formats.

4. Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Consulting Engagements: Provide consulting support for organization-wide training initiatives, including design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to provide transition support, manage training deliverables, and report on Knowledge Acquisition (KA), Knowledge Transfer (KT), and accreditation status.

  • Governance Participation: Represent the training function in governance calls and meetings to update on training transitions and project milestones.

5. Innovation and Technology in Learning

  • LMS and Learning Technologies: Research advancements in Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational technologies, and instructional design methodologies.

  • Innovation in Delivery: Recommend and implement innovative learning solutions and enhancements to existing training programs.

  • Technology Adoption: Promote the adoption of technical platforms to improve instructional delivery and learner engagement.

6. Transition Support and Knowledge Transfer

  • Transition Governance: Lead and report on KA/KT activities during transitions.

  • Client Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams and clients to ensure smooth knowledge transitions and training documentation compliance.


Required Skills and Competencies

Core Skills

  • Microsoft Office Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data analytics tools for instructional content development.

  • Instructional Design: Strong expertise in creating, developing, implementing, and evaluating training methodologies and plans.

  • Content Authoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Captivate, Storyline, and other content development platforms.

  • Training Analytics: Ability to design and use training analytics for measuring effectiveness and continuous improvement.

  • Finance and Accounting Domain: Experience in training delivery for Finance and Accounting topics, or prior work experience in the F&A domain.

Technical Skills

  • Programming and Automation: Knowledge of VBS Macros (Script), SQL, Python is an added advantage.


Desired Qualifications and Certifications

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (Graduation).

  • Certifications: Certifications in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.), Power Platform Developer certifications are highly preferred.

  • Additional Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint, advanced Excel, and the development of training dashboards.
