🧠 About the Role: Cloud & AI Engineer
The Cloud & AI Engineer role at IBM is tailor-made for backend engineers with deep expertise in GoLang, cloud-native technologies, and AI integration. This position is based in Bangalore and requires on-site presence. As a Cloud & AI Engineer, you will be responsible for developing backend applications, building AI-powered features, and integrating them with scalable cloud solutions. You will contribute to the design and implementation of systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and generative AI frameworks.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
As part of IBM’s Infrastructure & Technology team, your primary responsibilities include:

Backend Development with Golang:
Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems using Golang, focusing on clean code, performance, and reliability. -
Cloud-Native System Integration:
Work extensively with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift. Leverage containerization tools like Docker and Pod man to manage microservices. -
Generative AI & ML Integration:
Use AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn to develop and integrate AI functionalities. Apply Generative AI models to create intelligent application workflows. -
Cloud Service Provider Deployment:
Build and deploy applications across leading cloud platforms including IBM Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. -
DevOps & CI/CD:
Design and manage end-to-end DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and GitHub. Write and debug Jenkinsfiles, automate testing, and improve deployment cycles. -
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Use Terraform and Ansible to manage and automate cloud infrastructure, ensuring rapid and repeatable deployments. -
Linux Administration & Shell Scripting:
Maintain system performance and security on Linux servers. Write shell scripts for task automation and system integration. -
Version Control & Build Tools:
Manage codebases using Git. Utilize build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant, and Make to streamline software delivery. -
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and AI teams to deliver innovative cloud-native products.

This role is suitable for experienced backend developers and DevOps engineers with the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. -
Experience:

Minimum 6+ years of experience in backend development using GoLang.
