Role Overview: Assistant Manager – OTC (Credit & Collections)

In this role, you will manage critical aspects of the Order to Cash (OTC) lifecycle with a specialized focus on credit control, collections management, and financial risk assessment. You will be part of a team responsible for credit risk checks, monitoring customer payment behavior, managing third-party collection agencies, and maintaining up-to-date reporting for audits and leadership reviews.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, sales, customer service, and external partners to ensure that credit limits are respected, bad debts are minimized, and healthy cash flows are maintained.


Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Analysis & Account Risk Monitoring

  • Perform credit evaluations for new and existing customers using financial data and payment behavior analytics.

  • Execute credit checks upon request and provide risk analysis to guide account management decisions.

  • Monitor high-risk accounts and proactively identify potential collection issues or delayed payments.

2. Payment Terms & Systems Administration

  • Set up and update payment terms in PeopleSoft based on credit evaluations and approvals.

  • Monitor and manage approvals for non-standard invoicing/payment terms from platforms like Salesforce.

3. Collections Oversight

  • Lead coordination with third-party collection agencies, ensuring recovery strategies align with Genpact’s policies.

  • Escalate overdue balances or payment discrepancies after analyzing account performance and past payment records.

  • Ensure timely follow-up on aging receivables while maintaining customer relationship integrity.

4. Bad Debt Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyze bad debts monthly, identifying trends, root causes, and areas for risk mitigation.

  • Prepare and present monthly bad debt forecasts and collection performance metrics.

5. Compliance & Audit Reporting

  • Manage securitization audits, providing detailed documentation and reports as needed.

  • Prepare pre- and post-petition reports in line with financial compliance requirements.

  • Maintain documentation that supports audit trails and internal controls.

6. Documentation & Stakeholder Communication

  • Generate monthly collections performance reports and dashboards for leadership review.

  • Liaise with internal teams including finance, operations, and legal for escalations or process clarifications.

  • Support customer account reconciliation and resolve disputes related to payments, invoices, or terms.


Qualifications Required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a relevant field.

  • Prior experience in Order to Cash (OTC), credit control, or collections operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel for creating reports, data summaries, and dashboards.

  • Familiarity with Securitization, Bad Debt provisioning, and Credit Risk indicators.
