About the Role

The role of Deputy Manager—Process Excellence (also titled Quality and Process Excellence Lead) is a high-impact position focused on leading transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes. This position offers a chance to work at the intersection of strategy, quality, analytics, and change management, with the autonomy to shape and influence organizational processes.

You will be responsible for deploying quality frameworks, managing cross-functional teams, optimizing business processes, and facilitating innovation through analytics, Six Sigma practices, and operational excellence methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Quality Initiatives: Champion quality transformation programs for Wipro and client accounts by aligning project goals with business objectives.

Process Design and Re-engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to redesign organizational or industry-specific processes, aligning them with global benchmarks.

Leverage Optimization Tools: Use cutting-edge business optimization techniques and innovation frameworks to re-engineer and streamline workflows.

Change Management: Plan and manage change initiatives, ensuring seamless deployment of redesigned processes and adoption of best practices across large teams.

Benchmarking and Best Practices: Establish benchmarking methodologies, implement management dashboards, and contribute to Wipro’s central repository of operational best practices.

Team and Workshop Facilitation: Lead virtual and in-person workshops, conduct process diagnostics, and facilitate remote collaboration to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in process excellence or quality leadership roles.

Strong background in program and change management.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

High-energy, assertive, confident, and collaborative team player.

Desired Skills & Added Advantages

Expertise in Six Sigma methodologies, statistical tools, and quality re-engineering.

Exposure to global standards and frameworks such as ISO, CMMi, or COPC.

GIS domain expertise and hands-on experience with map-based process analysis.

Experience in shared services, BPO environments, or consulting-based engagements.

Educational Qualifications

BE / B.Tech in Engineering

MBA (Operations, Quality, or General Management)

B.Stat or other quantitative/statistics-based programs
